Chocolate Crackles Recipe

Today we have been learning about writing a procedure. A procedure is a list of instructions that helps you to meet a common goal. I learnt that a recipe has a Title, an Ingredients List and a Method.

Cultural Identity Google Map

This map shows the cultures and countries where we are from in Room 6. Most of the students were born in New Zealand but their parents and families are from Overseas countries. We used Google to plot in the countries. I learnt how to insert images and videos onto the map.

Popular pets in Room 5L

The Turtles were the most popular pet in Room 5L. They were popular because they have a hard shell and they have a nice pattern on their backs. Seventeen students chose turtles as their favourite pet. This was closely followed by dogs. 16 students chose dogs as their favourite pet. The least popular pet were birds because they fly away, they create mess through bird seed going on the floor and you cannot cuddle a bird. Only nine students chose birds as their favourite pet.

Forces in Motion

This term I have been learning about forces. We did this experiment on how far a car travels when it is on a slope. I learnt that if we used two books the car would travel a short distance and if we used a thick pile of books the car would travel a greater distance.
